Terms of Service

Effective Date: December 1, 2025


These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ProjectManagement.Jobs a platform operated by Maya Hawthorne Inc. (“MHI”), along with services provided through Hawthorne Staffing (“HS”), MHI’s staffing and recruiting division. By accessing the platform, creating an account, submitting information, or using any related service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue all use of the platform.


1. Overview of Services

ProjectManagement.Jobs provides digital tools and services that allow job seekers to create profiles, upload resumes, browse job opportunities, and apply to positions. Employers may subscribe to access job-posting services and candidate information in accordance with tier-based permissions.

HS, operating under MHI, provides staffing, recruiting, and talent-matching services. ProjectManagement.Jobs and HS work together as part of MHI’s talent ecosystem.


2. Account Requirements

To use certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized account activity

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.


3. User Content

“User Content” includes resumes, profiles, job postings, messages, and any material submitted or uploaded to the platform.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting content, you grant MHI (including ProjectManagement.Jobs and HS) a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Store, process, review, and evaluate your information
  • Display content on ProjectManagement.Jobs in accordance with your account settings
  • Share your content with Employer Subscribers based on their subscription tier
  • Use the content for recruitment, matching, operational, and service-improvement purposes


4. How Candidate Information Is Used

By using the platform, you understand and agree that:


4.1 Internal Use by MHI and Hawthorne Staffing

Your profile, resume, and related updates may be accessed, reviewed, screened, and evaluated by HS for potential roles or staffing initiatives. HS may contact you regarding opportunities both on and off the platform.

HS will not submit your resume to any third-party employer or client without first obtaining your explicit consent.


4.2 Employer Access

Employer Subscribers receive access to candidate information based on their subscription tier. Depending on the plan, employers may:

  • View limited or full candidate profiles
  • Receive profile updates
  • Initiate direct outreach
  • View or download resumes (Premium/Enterprise tiers only)

Employers agree to use this information solely for lawful hiring purposes.


4.3 Data Retention

Your information may be kept in the HS talent pipeline on an ongoing basis unless you request deletion.


5. Employer Responsibilities

Employer Subscribers agree to:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of candidate information
  • Use data solely for legitimate hiring purposes
  • Comply with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws
  • Respect subscription-tier restrictions, including resume download limitations
  • Avoid reselling, redistributing, or misusing candidate data

MHI reserves the right to suspend or terminate employer access for violations.


6. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Scrape or harvest data
  • Attempt to bypass access controls or subscription tiers
  • Harass or abuse other users
  • Upload harmful, unlawful, or discriminatory content
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the platform

MHI may restrict or terminate access at its discretion if prohibited conduct occurs.


7. Payments and Subscription Terms

Employer subscriptions may include features such as:

  • Job-posting access
  • Candidate search and messaging
  • Resume preview
  • Resume download capabilities (Premium/Enterprise only)

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.


8. No Guarantee of Outcomes

MHI does not guarantee:

  • That candidates will secure employment
  • That employers will receive applications or fill roles
  • The accuracy or completeness of third-party job postings
  • The suitability of candidate matches or employer opportunities

All hiring decisions are made exclusively by employers.


9. Resume Submissions to Employers

HS will always obtain your approval before:

  • Presenting your resume to an employer
  • Submitting you to a role
  • Sharing your profile outside the platform

Your consent may be obtained via email, phone, or documented confirmation.


10. Termination

MHI may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for misuse of platform features or data.

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support. Deletion requests do not affect copies of your resume that an employer may have previously downloaded.


11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MHI, including ProjectManagement.Jobs and HS, harmless from claims arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your User Content
  • Your interactions with employers or other users
  • Violations of these Terms


12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, MHI is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data or business opportunity
  • Unauthorized access to or use of your information

MHI’s total liability will not exceed the amount paid (if any) for services provided in the 12 months before the claim.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any disputes must be brought in the courts located in Harris County, Texas.


14. Updates to These Terms

We may modify these Terms periodically. The effective date will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.


15: Third-Party Application Redirects

Third-Party Application Redirects

Some job postings on ProjectManagement.Jobs link to third-party websites, ATS systems, or employer portals. When you click “Apply,” you may be redirected to an external site that is not owned, operated, or controlled by MHI, ProjectManagement.Jobs, or Hawthorne Staffing.

By proceeding, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • MHI does not control the content, accuracy, availability, or security of external job postings or application systems.
  • MHI is not responsible for employer actions, data practices, hiring decisions, communication, or outcomes related to applications submitted on third-party sites.
  • Your interactions with third-party sites are governed solely by those parties’ terms and privacy policies.
  • MHI does not guarantee that a job posting is current, valid, available, or accurately described.

MHI disclaims all liability arising from your use of third-party websites, systems, or employer platforms.


16: Aggregated Job Postings Disclaimer

Aggregated Job Listings

ProjectManagement.Jobs aggregates job listings from third-party sources. Aggregated listings are provided solely as a convenience and may include roles not directly posted by the employer on our platform.

You understand and agree that:

  • Aggregated job listings may be modified, expired, inaccurate, or incomplete.
  • MHI does not verify the accuracy, legitimacy, or availability of aggregated roles.
  • MHI is not responsible for errors, omissions, or changes made by third-party job sources.
  • MHI does not endorse or guarantee any employer, job posting, salary, description, or application experience.

Job seekers should independently verify job information before applying.


17: No Employment Agency / No FCRA Applicability

No Employment Agency Relationship

Unless specifically engaged through Hawthorne Staffing with documented consent, MHI does not act as an employment agency, career representative, or agent for any user. MHI does not:

  • Negotiate employment terms on your behalf
  • Guarantee interview selection or hiring
  • Perform background checks or employment verification

Employers are solely responsible for their own hiring practices and compliance with applicable laws, including FCRA where required.


18: Data Handling on Third-Party Sites

Data Handling by External Sites

Once you leave ProjectManagement.Jobs and submit your information to an external employer system, MHI cannot control how that employer collects, stores, processes, or uses your data.

You agree that:

  • MHI is not responsible for data collected outside of its platform
  • MHI cannot modify or delete information held by third-party employers
  • Users must contact the employer directly regarding their data

Your PMJ privacy rights apply only to data stored on MHI systems.
