What you’ll build
In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of the payroll outsourcing project, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with global standards.
- Support the development of the global payroll governance framework, ensuring transparency, compliance, and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive global-to-local process harmonization, balancing standardization with compliance to local regulations.
- Manage the vendor implementation workstreams, including requirements gathering, testing, cutover, and stabilization.
- Lead change management and communications, ensuring that employees, managers, and stakeholders are well-informed and engaged during transition.
- Partner with the vendor management lead to support the ongoing evolution of vendor management.
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, Tax, and Technology to ensure payroll integrates seamlessly into the wider employee services ecosystem.
- Track and report program progress, risks, and issues to governance boards and executive stakeholders.
- Create a sustainable transition plan into BAU outsourcing operations, including roles, responsibilities, KPIs, and escalation pathways.
- Provide thought leadership and insights on future global payroll strategy, ensuring scalability and resilience for years ahead.
Your work will directly support the evolution of global payroll operations, supporting strategic business priorities and employee experience.
What you bring
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Professional certification in Project Management (e.g. PMP/PRINCE2) preferred
- Professional certification in Payroll (e.g. CPP, CIPP, GPA) preferred
- Additional qualifications in Change Management or Governance (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) are a plus
Skills
- Strong project management skills: planning, execution, issue resolution, risk mitigation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of global payroll processes, compliance frameworks, and vendor governance.
- Proficiency with HR/Payroll systems (SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors, or equivalent market leading platforms).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound recommendations

Work Experience

- Proven track record in delivering large-scale payroll or HR outsourcing projects (multi-country/global scope strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in governance frameworks, vendor management, and compliance oversight.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across geographies, cultures, and time zones.
- Prior involvement in payroll outsourcing, payroll transformation, or HR shared services set-up is highly desirable.
- Strong background in change management, communications, and stakeholder engagement
