Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Estimated compensation for this position is: $85,000 - $115,000 annually
The compensation range listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
What this job involves:
Ensure site compliance with fire safety regulations. Oversight and coordination of site fire safety vendors. Perform inspections of site fire protection systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Serve as member of onsite Emergency Response Team and provide ERT program support, as needed. Supports site Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) Manager and ensures JLL is compliant with all HSSE regulatory and Client requirements.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Manage and maintain fire protection systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant authorities and regulations. Conduct regular inspections, address deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate fire system impairments with security, maintenance, and vendors. Monitor systems and respond promptly to alarms or emergencies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local fire departments during emergencies and routine inspections. Assist in fire investigations and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire codes, laws, and standards. Keep as-built drawings current for all fire and suppression systems.
- Conduct and manage periodic Fire and Life Safety (FLS) Program assessments, inspections, and testing across the region. Provide accurate and timely reports to management.
- Conduct regular inspections of site buildings to ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety regulations and standards. Address any issues identified during inspections promptly.
- Deliver training to JLL personnel on fire prevention, emergency procedures, and equipment use. Support audits from various stakeholders and agencies.
- Collaborate with JLL teams, clients, and vendors to deliver FLS services within scope. Interface with client Risk Insurers and Corporate Fire/Life Safety Audit teams.
- Manage required testing of Extinguishers, Fire Pumps, Sprinkler Systems, Kitchen Systems, CO2 Systems, E-Lights, Sprinkler valves, Hydrants, and Fire Department connections.
- Manage fire system impairments and required testing of various fire safety equipment. Support the Yorktown Emergency Response Team.
- Provide fire safety due diligence for business events and support projects with recommendations based on fire codes and business requirements.
- Support annual electrical shutdown maintenance.
- Comply with JLL Corporate and client safety requirements.
- Maintain a collaborative partnership with Client HSSE organization.
- Drive the implementation of programs and initiatives necessary to foster a strong HSSE culture.
- Provide support to Client HSSE Team by conducting selected HSSE activities as agreed by JLL and Client HSSE.
- Available for on-call work. When on-call, response is required 24/7 for emergency consultation and call-ins.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or minimum 10 years of experience.
- The candidate must be willing and able to be certified as a Code Building Safety Inspector (BSI) within 12 months of hire.
- FLS certification
- Expertise in fire detection and suppression systems.
- Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Must have good communication & interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, emergency management or related subjects or minimum 10 years of experience in managing Fire & Life Safety programs
- Certified as a Code Building Safety Inspector (BSI) or Code Enforcement Officer (CEO) to fulfill the responsibility of back-up Site Fire Marshall/Fire Inspector.
- Working knowledge of relevant current legislation
- Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
