Individual Contributor
OEM Project Manager collaborates closely between Adobe and one or more of Adobe’s OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) partners in the Print industry. The individual is responsible for handling all technical aspects of the relationship, from pre-sales to the evaluation/adoption cycle to maintenance. The individual represents Adobe and its technology to OEMs and acts as the voice of the customer within Adobe.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for the customer relationship, ensuring long-term partnership and customer success.
- Manage the development and implementation process of Adobe’s OEM products and services in Japan.
- Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, passionate about delivering new or upgrading existing products.
- Monitor the project from initiation through delivery, including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project (i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints.)
What you need to succeed
- Significant experience working in the software development industry, including proven experience in the print domain.
- Technical Degree required (print engineering or computer engineering is ideal)
- Technical understanding of software development is essential.
- Must be commercially aware.
- Proficiency in Japanese & English (both verbal and written) is a must.
- Hands-on experience in customer liaison/engagement - JAPAC is must, additional international experience shall be a plus.
- Prior Project Management experience shall be a plus.
- Embedded development experience shall be a plus.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (technical audience as well as to the executives).
- Must be hard-working, passionate, upbeat, proactive, determined, friendly, flexible, approachable, and confident.
- Must be able to win the confidence/trust of their customers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willing and able to travel regularly (mostly within JAPAC.)

Print and Scan business delivers best-in-class RIP technologies to all major print OEMs, enabling them to provide “Printing for Business” solutions to Print Service Providers and “Printing for Communication” solutions to small and large organizations. OEM products include Adobe Embedded Print Engine, Adobe PDF Print Engine, Adobe PostScript, Scan technologies, and other print workflow SDKs.
Print and Scan team not only focuses on increasing the “Reach” of existing portfolio (adding new features and value to existing offerings), but also works on innovating new ideas and taking them to next level – a continuous effort to increase “Richness” of portfolio.
